Low-Cost, Accurate Method of Colony Replication

Utilizes a locking ring which secures sterile velveteen squares onto a PVC cylinder for easy control of the plating device, producing replicas of microbial colonies by lowering an inverted Petri dish onto the cloth, then transferring onto a fresh nutrient plate.

• May be disinfected between uses with a brief rinse in 70% ethanol or chlorine bleach
• Aluminum ring is 10.2 cm (4″) diameter; PVC cylinder is 6.9 cm (2.75″) high
• For use with 90 to 100 mm Petri dishes
• Includes 12 white velveteen squares; replacements available in white or black
• Not autoclavable
